Well, it seems like so. Steve Jobs has been preaching the psalms of HTML5 since long before iPad’s launch but Apple has intensified efforts to replace Flash with HTML5 as the dominant force for the content on the internet and now there are first signs that Steve’s efforts are paying off.

The Other Mac Blog reported a strange not seen before link of “iPad test” below a few videos on their website. When clicked, they take you to the normal video playback page with the video running on Flash but when it was opened on the iPad simulator that comes with the iPhone SDK 3.2, it actually opened even though the video was not working but when the CSS of the page was analyzed it actually revealed clues of HTML5.

The repercussions of this move might result in a stampede by the major content producers (who have reportedly signed contracts with Apple) towards HTML5 as the standard of choice for delievering their video and audio content to the massive tablet market led by Apple iPad.
