Sn0wbreeze version 1.7 for Windows has just been released which allows you to Jailbreak a whole range of iDevices. With this new version of Sn0wbreeze you can jailbreak the following devices:

• iPhone 3Gs (old and new bootrom)
• iPhone 3G
• iPod touch 2G (MC models as well as non MC models)
• iPod touch 3G

Download iOS 4 for iPhone 3G, 3Gs and 4 and iPod Touch 2G and 3G

This will be a tethered jailbreak meaning that you will have to jailbreak every time you power off your device and reboot. A complete guide for jailbreaking iPhone 3Gs (new bootrom) will be posted in a while. Meanwhile, make sure you have downloaded the latest version of Snowbreeze (v1.7).

You also need to be on iOS 3.1.2 (formerly known as iPhone OS 3.1.2) to use this jailbreak method. If you are not on iOS 3.1.2 then you should have it’s SHSH blobs stored.
