People often get a little paranoid when it comes to privacy, whether they are browsing the internet or their folders, peek a little and you are a dead guy. There are solution to that though, you could sit in isolation or hit “Win + L” to instantly lock down your computer, but frankly, that is a bit of a stretch isn't it. Well, if you are a little concerned about your privacy, you can use a little app called WinLock, it will instantly hide they window you are browsing by hitting a hot-key and will reveal itself when the password is entered. It could be any windows, a file, a document, any browser or any application, you hit the key and it’s gone.

Now, we love small applications that do cool things, WinLock is no different. Sized at just 1.1 MB, the small utility app is great for handling small privacy concerns. To start it off, download Winlock from the link below and install it, once done, you will be prompted to set a password, this would be the master password which will be used to unlocked each locked file, you can even lock a whole session, but don’t do that, I kept on pressing “Ctrl + space” and I had to restart my notebook to get it running again.

Once you have entered you desired password, go to any application and hit the hotkey “Ctlr + Space”, the windows will disappear and your session preserved. To bring it back to life again, pull up WinLock from the task menu and press the lock button on top left corner of the application, enter your password and the screen will pop up again.

The application is relatively easy to use and works on windows xp, vista, Windows 7 and windows 8. You can download the application from link below:
