Want to watch Vimeo or maybe Dailmotion and Hulu among a couple of others on your iPhone but when you log on to these websites all you see is a big blank box instead of the video or maybe just a thumbnail and then Apple forces you to believe that Flash is gone, it’s history. Well guess what, someone somewhere came up with this quick hack that lets you watch Flash videos on these and a couple of other websites right inside your Mobile Safari in iPhone (3G/3Gs and 4).

So how do you do this? Simple, the hack is in the form of a JavaScript that you have to add in your Safari as an add-on and every time you go to one of those websites which the hack supports, all you have to do is click the button and the Flash video will play!

  1. Open mobile Safari browser on your iPhone and go to this page: https://iosflashvideo.fw.hu/
  2. Now tap the “+” button and add this page as a bookmark and exit.
  3. Now open your bookmarks on safari by tapping the Bookmarks button and click Edit.
  4. Select iOSFlashVideo from the list that shows up
  5. Select the URL and remove the starting portion of it uptil “ javascript”.
  6. Close everything and you’re good to go!

Now whenever you open a website that has Flash content and is supported by this script, you have to tap iOSFlashVideo button to watch the video right from your Safari browser. Currently the script supports Flash videos on the following websites:

  1. Blip.tv
  2. Break
  3. DailyMotion
  4. Flickr Video
  5. Vimeo
  6. MegaVideo

One more thing, if videos from any of these websites is embedded in any other page then you have to repeat the procedure for that page too and according to these guys, the embedded video might even not play. But atleast you have tons of Flash content to watch on these websites!

Note: You do not need to Jailbreak your iPhone to watch Flash on it with this script! Moreover, I am still not sure whether this works for iPad too.
