nokia_silverlight 2 years ago, Microsoft and Nokia announced that the Symbian OS will get Silverlight support.  2 days ago, Microsoft made the Silverlight for Symbian beta with developer tools live but was made unavailable later. It is expected that now the beta will get released in the Mix Web Conference.

“The installable executable file enables users to run Silverlight applications on the Nokia S60 5th Edition platform. The executable file includes the Silverlight runtime for Nokia S60 5th Edition devices, the Silverlight runtime for Nokia S60 5th Edition emulator, sample applications, and developer documentation.”

In the week starting from March 14, it is expected that the Silverlight for Symbian beta (with developer tools) will be announced at the Mix Web Conference.
