How about replacing your car’s in-built audio and navigation system with the new iPad2? One company that modifies cars to place custom audio systems or as we call it ‘pimping up your car’ – managed to squeeze in an iPad2 into the dashboard of Ford’s F150.

Previously I covered how to get the famous Android Lock screen on your iPod Touch or iPhone. It really looks cool but the problem arises when you forget your lock pattern. There have been hundreds of such cases where you are locked out of your own iPod Touch because you forgot the lock pattern and there’s no simple way of uninstalling or removing the app.

This is a fresh rumor roundup for the next iPhone, the iPhone 5. Normally I discard rumors especially since everyone’s posting something about the next iPhone but when these rumors come from a source that has proven to be a good intelligence source for iPod Touch then we better listen.

Microsoft is finally seeing the light as possibilities for opening doors to homebrew micro-developers have been spearheaded by Brandon Watson, Director of Developer Experience for Windows Phone 7 who has taken the soft approach of dealing with hackers as if they are merely a Windows hosting reseller. This must be annoying for a lot of people. Watching a video on your iPhone or iPod touch or iPad and all of a sudden the lock screen appears and the video is paused. You will either have to increase the wait time of your lock screen or let it go altogether which is what I did with my iPod touch. But with this new app available on Cydia, you can continue to watch the video even when the lock screen appears.

Apple released Beta 1 of iOS 4.3 SDK for iPod touch and iPad as well as Apple TV late Wednesday night.  There are some exciting additions to the iOS 4.3 like the multi-touch gesture support which will replace the Home button in iPad, new video effects for video recording and the confirmation that CDMA based iPad is also on it's way! Earlier this year, Steve Jobs was grilled at the D8 regarding the faulty iPhone 4 antenna and he was not sure whether his engineers will come up with a fix. Just in case, this is what Virtual Reality is all about, embedding artificially generated content into the real images.

Managing Music, Movies and files on your iPhone could be a problem if you are on the move and don’t have the machine on which you have iTunes installed. There are also features you would like iTunes to include but it does not have them. Hotmail has announced the support of Push notifications for it’s Mail, Calendar and Contacts for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad with the support of Exchange ActiveSync. With the support of Exchange ActiveSync, you can now keep your emails, contacts and calendar items updates which means anytime you check, delete or send out a new email, it will be synced with the web version of hotmail in no time. Previously, you had to access the web version of hotmail and syncing it just like you do with your Gmail on iPhone/iPad was not possible.

As predicted, Apple has just released the iOS (formerly known as iPhone firmware) update 4.1 This update comes amid the concerns from Consumer Rights group regarding the iPhone 4 reception issues which were confirmed by the report from Comsumer Rights group. The update iOS 4.1 is released for:

George Hotz, the famous guy behind the iPhone jailbreak and unlock solutions started off as Blackra1n has now shut down the blog on which he posted his iPhone jailbreak and unlock tutorials and his views on the alternative solutions. The blog is hosted on Blogger. Upon visiting the blog, you are now requested to log in with your Google ID so that it may check whether you are an authorized viewer of the blog.

The next iPod touch is expected to be released this September and the rumors have already begun. With wish lists of new features that might be added in the all new iPod touch 4, there have been some evidences of one thing that has been missing in iPod touch all this while: Camera.
