Bravo! Dev-team has done it again. This time again, the jailbreak demo came within 24 hours of the release of iPhone OS 4. Earlier it was Muscle Nerd of the infamous Dev-Team who ported Spirit jailbreak to iPad and then we also had a video showing Cydia app store running on jailbroken iPad and now it’s this guy showing Jailbroken iPhone OS 4.0. The tool for Jailbreaking is not available as yet and there’s no ETA announced as yet but here’s the video showing the Jailbroken iPhone OS 4.0:
With the release of iTunes 9.1, many new features included a complete Books section were introduced but several users who were using Jailbroken iPhone OS 3.1.2 were facing syncing problems. Those who have used blackra1n to jailbreak their iPhone 2G/3G/3Gs or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2 and have upgraded to iTunes 9.1 can now use BlackBreeze fix for blackra1n from ih8sn0w.
George Hotz or better known to us as Geohot has hit back again by making untethered jailbreak a reality. He has not given the tool any name but it has been announced. You will be able to Jailbreak your iPhone 3Gs, iPod touch 2G and 3G (2nd and 3rd Generation) and the Jailbreak will not be tethered meaning that you do not have to Jailbreak every time you do hard reboot.
For those who loved the (now virtually dead) Palm OS would be delighted to know that now they can enjoy the same Palm OS with all it’s apps up to version 5.2 on the newly launched Palm OS emulator for iPhone. There are around 30,000 applications written for the Palm OS and the creators claim that you would be able to run most of them on this emulator called “StyleTap”.
