Windows 8.1 upgrade comes with a lot of issues and many people are teased up because of the uneasy upgrades of Windows right from the launch of Windows 8. In this post, we will address another issue which many users are facing after much dreamt of upgrade to Windows 8.1. The problems is the stalling of Wi-Fi of the machines especially laptops, you get the errors of “DNS Server Not Found” or simply no error with no Wi-Fi. The solution lies with the upgrade of the Drivers.
Public DNS servers, restarting routers, selecting and updating manufacturer’s drivers are not working options in this case. We have figured out a solution to this nudge. Just follow the simple steps given below
- Open Device Manager and select 'Network adapters'
- Double Click your Network Adapter name
- Go to “Driver” tab and Hit “Update Driver” option
- Select 'Browse my computer for driver software'
- Select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer' option
- Select the your driver entry from the list, and click
After performing the above steps, you must restart your machine and things should work smooth. Remember that you must disable compatible hardware check box for searching the previous versions of the drivers because the previous versions worked for me even for Windows 8.1
