Dell Lightning is going to be the first Windows Phone 7 release from Dell and it sure is different from the WP7 prototypes we have seen recently. The phone is a portrait slider which means it has a lot of buttons but that’s not always so bad. What’s delightfully amazing are the specs Dell Lightning comes laden with. Right now it’s just on the slides and is expected to be released by the end of this year to coincide with WP7 official release.

Here are the detailed specs of Dell Lightning:

  • Processor: 1GHz QSD8250 Snapdragon
  • OS: Windows Phone 7
  • Browser: Internet Explorer
  • Camera: 5 Mega Pixel AF Camera
  • Supported Video Formats: H.263/H.264, .3GP, MPEG4, WMV, DivX
  • Memory: 1GB Flash ROM + 512MB DDR SDRAM, MicroSD Card Slot with 8GB MicroSD
  • Connectivity: Wireless LAN b/g/n, Bluetooth, USB 2.0
  • Sensors: GPS, G-Sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor
  • Battery: 1400mAh

The phone looks absolutely sleek. There’s no word on pricing yet.
