Mozilla has released an update for users who are still using Firefox 3.0.x version
s and have not upgraded to Firefox 3.5 (and the recent patch 3.5.1). The latest release 3.0.12 which is available for download for Windows, Mac and Linux users. The latest release patches most of the security and stability problems with the 3.0.x releases.
Firefox update 3.0.12 can be downloaded manually and Mozilla says that users will be automatically intimidated for an update when they open their browsers within next 24 to 48 hours.
Mozilla further added that Firefox 3.0.x will be maintained with security and stability updates until January, 2010 so you should better upgrade to 3.5.1 rather then still sticking with the old releases.
