iphone-sdk-3.2

iPhone SDK 3.2 Beta 4 is out now for the new iPad developers (you need to be enrolled) which fixes some bugs including the Bookmark feature in Safari in the iPad simulator but something that comes as a surprise is the deliberate removal of the Camera Tab from the Photos app that will be shipped with iPad.

Explaining the reason for removing the Camera tab and also wiping out all the rumors that Camera Tab is signaling at the possibility of Camera being included in iPad. The release notes tell us that:

The Camera tab represents photos available via the Camera Connection Kit for iPad, and is not relevant for the Simulator. The Camera tab will disappear after a few seconds.

Beta 4 will probably be the last Beta before iPad ships on 3rd April but it won’t be much of an issue when all of the apps developed for iPhone and iPod touch will be compatible with iPad. There are currently 150,000+ apps listed on the App Store and all of them are coming on iPad too.

Wouldn’t it look weird for the apps that are developed for a small screen to run on iPad? No doubt, iPad is the enlarged version of iPod touch.
