Perhaps the two things you cant get in one package is creativity and organization. When it comes to managing windows folders and files, i hesitate, simply because there are too many things that i have laying around in one folder and I'm not usually sure if i need the files or not. You can organize them in folder, but eventually you will end up with many folders and it will be hard for you to identify which folder contains what. So, what do you do? The best option would be to ‘Colour Code’ the folders so that they would be easy to point out.

Firefox and Google chrome are the browsers to be, with thousands of plugins and many extensions, no other browser comes near them. Perhaps the extensions and plugins are the reason for their success. Admittedly Google chrome takes the lead in the most widely used web browser, Firefox isn't far behind, thanks to its constant update schedule and great support; Firefox brought a new extension with its latest update, Social media connectivity, so you won’t have to log into your Facebook account every time you want to chat with a friend. Firefox suggests that these features should be available at only a few clicks, and thus the plugin which enables Firefox to communicate with your Facebook account and display the message bar and notifications right along the navigation pane.

One of the feature that sets apart the Good old Android Gingerbread interface and the new ICS on-wards interface is the App switching and multitasking option. On the older version, you had to long press the home button and a rather ‘old styled’ menu would appear in front of you giving you option to select the icon to navigate to that app. That was perfectly fine, but what if you want more control? What if you want an interface that doesn't look like it was ripped off from some 90’s Symbian interface? Well, there is an App that could do that for you. SwitchApps, is a wonderful little application that could bring the same App switch feeling to the older android versions, the application feels rather refined and very easy to use and if you don’t like using the multitasking option in ICS and above operating systems then SwitchApps is the perfect alternative for you.

Most of us realize the importance of time and task management on the internet, sooner or later. A simple and effective way of achieving efficiency is to automate everyday tasks in a manner that least amount of time and effort is spent on trivial tasks. Nowadays, there are so many online solutions available for tasks such as socializing, image editing, file sharing, video and photo hosting, file conversion and the like, that automating and linking such services tends to involve both integrating as well as optimizing operations in light of new and progressive situations. For example, if you spot a new update on your favorite YouTube channel and want to post it as an update on Facebook, automatically, all you need to do is to create a new recipe in IFTTT, a simple online automation tool aimed at defining a specific trigger and an action from tens of available channels that are in actual online purpose-built tools.

Have you ever begun to edit a picture and wondered what the original picture looked like? Or how far off are you’re from the actual picture? Well, at that time you have several options, press the multi-tasking window open gallery and view the picture, or press the back button and view the picture, but both these methods risk losing the edited one. To be honest, if you favorite picture editor does not provide you with this basic option to view the original one, it is just not worth it. Strangely enough, the picture editor that has this feature is Google’s very own, and you don’t even have to download it because it is built into the gallery app. The one we tested out was on android jellybean 4.2, and quite honestly, it out performs the other famous 3rd party apps.

Are you a freelancer? Are you running a small scale firm or startup? To successfully translate physical or mental effort into monetary value, carries a challenge in its own. The first step is to plan effectively by listing down the tasks, assigning time or expenditure with each. The second step is to associate realistic quotations with each expected milestone (that has an inherent aspect of coordination and communication between you and the resource provider). The final step is to generate accurate invoicing that fully represents the situation you are facing and is acceptable to all the parties involved. A final invoice should be easy to share since you’re living in the age of web and most documents end up in email inboxes at the first level before getting printed on paper. 1DayLater is an online invoicing tool that equips you with all the necessary ingredients to create professional-looking, well-formatted and print-friendly invoices in minimum possible time. It encourages you to utilize transparent costing (providing a detailed breakdown of work and rates for the client), converting activities to invoices, online billing (when you’re done, you can email a secure link with the client that allows them to view, print or download the invoice whenever appropriate), timely payments (using the invoice history and tracking feature).

One of the biggest issues I have faced with windows 8 is lack of customization on the start screen. Yes, it looks clean and minimal with the ‘Microsoft way’ but I would rather control it myself, because the default screen and customization can become a little dull. A few basic options like swapping the start screen background and tile modification is missing from Windows 8, which could have been done by Microsoft themselves to save us the hassle. Anyways, as I have said before, where there is an issue, there is a solution. This time again, Stardock comes to the rescue with Decor8; which vows to bring the features to you that should have been there all together.

All of us understand that sending and receiving information in the best quality of the language void of any grammar or spelling mistake leads to a positive impression of the personality. If you write a formal email to a person of importance, if he or she spots out the mistake, it will only cause embarrassment for you. Similarly, if you’re working online or using online text editing tools, you would require an app to monitor the spelling mistakes and correct them or present alternatives to the current approach in order to benefit the user. Ginger is a comprehensive proof-reading application (both online and offline) that immediately spots the spelling or grammar mistake, highlights it and presents correct alternatives to the issue at hand. On the desktop, it provides a standalone program where you can paste and verify the language authenticity of any content. On the other hand, it automatically integrates with browsers like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and more coupled with Microsoft Office Apps using a floating window that checks the active page for any language errors and gives the green signal only when it’s safe.

There are a variety of image editing applications, available for use, both online and offline but they vary in the respective learning curve associated with them. For novice users, it is the ease of use and relevance to the problem, at hand, that makes an image editing program worthy of use. Moreover, the interface coupled with performance are important factors in view of the majority of users. If you want to upload a photo album, you may want to add a logo or watermark for identification or marketing to the collection in the least amount of time. Similarly, you may also want to reduce the image size, resolution and other aspects to ensure effective sharing and related applications. GoodFrame is a handy program that allows you to easily apply finishing touches to your image collection, in batches for operations like printing and sharing. You can also apply simple as well as rounded frames as per your preference.
