The front and back facing camera on iPhone 4 have opened the gates for a million video chat apps. Chat-Roulette for iPhone 4 was a natural outcome of this new feature in iPhone 4. Now you can do live video chat with random people from around the globe using your iPhone 4. The only restriction, like in FaceTime is that both the ‘random’ persons need to have iPhone 4.

George Hotz, or @geohot as he is famously known has finally broken his silence on iPhone 4 jailbreak and has posted some fresh proceedings on his jailbreak. Prior to iPhone 4 launch, Geohot registered a domain name that resembled his one-click iPhone 2G, 3G, 3Gs and iPod Touch (2G and 3G non MC models) jailbreak tool Blackra1n. The new domain name was Limera1n. But ever since the release of iPhone 4, there was no update from Geohot on Jailbreak.

Fring has just been updated with the new version (3.2.0.5) and what’s different about it? You can now make 2 way video calls using Fring on 3G network and not only on Wi-Fi! When Steve Jobs introduced FaceTime, he said it was revolutionary and the very first time video calling has been made a reality on mobile phones but the problem was that you could not do FaceTime if you are not connected to a WiFi network.

A new day, a new issue discovered with Apple’s best selling iPhone ever – in fact, Apple’s best selling product ever. Boy Genius Report has ‘reported’ that an iPhone 4 caught fire, burnt and melted while it was being charged through the USB connector. There is no evidence of the circuit board mal function so the only thing that remains behind is the iPhone 4 itself. What will be Steve Jobs explanation this time?

This is the first Apple store in Shanghai and this is also the first time Apple has shifted it’s design focus from Glass Cube to Cylindrical shape. Red curtains are being pulled over the cylindrical Apple ‘dome’ for the opening day but what’s revealed while the photos were shot is a piece of art, design and technology immersed in all glass. What’s different about this new Apple store in Shanghai is that it’s like a cylinder placed in what seems to be a big roundabout which makes the store visible from everywhere.

One thing you can say for sure is: iPhone 5 will not have any antenna/reception issues since the length of the antenna is now increased to a really ‘comfortable’ level. This image might not depict how the next iPhone 5 will look like.

This is one good use of the 5MP camera of iPhone 4. How about using it to ‘scan’ instead of ‘shoot’ documents? There is one such brilliant app that lets you shoot picture of the document you want to scan and then process it to make it legible and store it locally in PDF format!

The new Retina display in iPhone 4 completely blows away all the previous iPhone displays. Even though there have been complaints about the reception problems with iPhone 4 (to which Steve Jobs reply was: ‘Hold it differently!’), but even just Retina display make

Gyroscope was one valuable addition announced at the iPhone 4 launch. For those who missed that part, gyroscope enables capturing motion in 3D which means that any application can use the motion of the iPhone 4 holder and respond accordingly. Naturally, games are the best candidate for exploiting this new functionality. GunRange from ng:moco has turned out to be the first iPhone 4 game to exploit this feature.

The Telegraph has reported that 30 people, mostly in the age group of 25 or less, have attempted suicide over the last 3 weeks alone at Apple’s iPad and other iDevices supplier factory, Foxconn. Foxconn has even sought help from a Buddhist “monk” to sort things out and cast away the evil spirits but it seems that the problem is arising more from pathetic working conditions and low wages rather then evil spirits.
